Jim Mehta writes: Carole Pope and Hugh Alford both gave 30 min presentations to a group of 50 pupils and parents from the GCE Astronomy course. We followed with observing with society members Ken Pearson, David Price and Jim Mehta. Unfortunately the weather was foul with heavy rain initially, then cloud. We were able to glimpse the moon occassionally though and most of the students were able to have a look. Alltogether a successful evening and we have promised to return under better weather conditions. Many thanks to all members.
