The Observatory Science Centre at Herstmonceaux is home to six historical telescopes which were left behind when the Royal Greenwich Observatory (RGO) finally closed its doors at Herstmonceux and moved to Cambridge in 1990.
Please park on the large, free tarmac car park on the Wartling Road.
This is on the south side of the entrance barrier driveway and just a short 3 minute walk on a private roadway within the Herstmonceux Estate. The car park is unlit, so if you are visiting for the evening then please bring a torch.
