Address: Greencourt Road , Petts Wood , Kent , BR6 1QW United Kingdom
Meetings are held in St Francis of Assisi church hall in Petts Wood. This is located behind the church, in Greencourt Road. Parking is easy in Greencourt Road, though it may be necessary to drive further up the road as spaces fill up.
Members are asked to sign in when they arrive and to identify any guest they bring, to a member of the Committee, so they can be formally welcomed. Signing in sheets are available on the table at the back of the hall.
Meetings usually start at around 7:45 pm, with introductions and notices. This is usually followed by the Observer’s Report presented by Doug Hopkins – a brief overview of astronomical events during the month and a display of members’ astrophotography. There is then a break for tea and coffee. Members are encouraged to make a small donation for this. Bringing your own mug reduces waste of course. The mingling beforehand and the tea break give the opportunity to meet with members. Please introduce yourself to members and share your interests and queries with them.
