Our site is your link to all that's astronomical in Orpington & Bromley. Come and join local enthusiasts discussing and enjoying the night sky! Our regular monthly meetings are held at Bromley Environmental Education Centre at High Elms (BEECHE ) on Shire Lane. Car-parking at the Nature Centre itself is restricted to those with mobility difficulties and those bringing equipment. Most members should park in the main High-Elms car-park, which will remain open until after our meeting. (More details...) Our observing evenings are usually held in the High Elms grounds. However, we will meet at the Change of Horses in Farnborough Village beforehand. Please come to the Change of Horses. Don't try going straight to High Elms. (More details...) |

Solar Max 60mm Solar Telescope |
 With the help of a grant from the AWARDS FOR ALL "Lottery Grants for Local Groups" the Society has been able to purchase a Coronado Solar Max 60mm Solar telescope, with an HEQ5 Pro Scan equatorial mount and binocular viewer. This will not initially be available for loan to individual members, but will be used at Society observing sessions, at public events to promote astronomy, and at schools to support astronomy education. |
